The Start Of Something New

It's funny how we can look at something over and over and yet a day comes when, for once, we really See it.

Reading Matthew recently this familiar passage fairly jumped out at me, almost as if I was hearing it for the first time.

Christ is asked, "Which commandment in the law is the greatest?" And He answers:

" 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.'
This is the first and greatest commandment.
And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'
All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."

If only I could learn to do a better job at meeting these two challenges....

I decided that by focusing my attempts through a blog, I may improve my chances at living up to that standard, to become a better Christian, a better husband, a better son, a better artist. And someday, God willing, a better father.
